The Fergie Mystery

fergie7.jpg fergie8.jpg

Actually, no mystery here… I think every picture I’ve seen of her sports that manly face. Sunglasses just helps hide it. She reminds me of “the MILF” in American Pie. I’ll bet you she’ll take that role in the remake of the movie in 2015. F1: Austrailian GP Friday Preview

Ferrari F1

With first practice just a few hours away, lots of activities and buzz surrounds the opener at Melbourne. After several months of R&D and testing, teams are ready to unleash their creations to see how they stack up against each other.

As mentioned in my earlier postings, Ferrari is expected to lead the charge, with McLaren following close behind. It’s no secret that Ferrari looks to have a winning package, they’ve got the best speed, excellent reliability, substantial data with the Bridgestones, and 2 very fast drivers. Although Massa has been faster during testing, Raikkonen isn’t worried. In an interview on Ferrari’s website, he feels that the times aren’t important, as he didn’t concetrate much on single lap speed, instead working on race distance and reliability. Not many people have mentioned the Ross Brawn factor… he was the man behind the stellar Ferrari strategies in the last few years, and with his departure this year, we could be seeing small mistakes by the Italian squad. In Formula One, small mistakes that costs seconds can cost the race in the end, especially with McLaren being so close to Ferrari’s pace.

Fernando Alonso, preparing for his first race in a McLaren, feels that this year’s rookies will have a slight advantage against the veterans because of the Bridgestone tires.

“I think all the Michelin drivers, including me, have been used to them and we accommodate our driving style to suit the Michelin tyres. I think new drivers who have come in this year have a big advantage because they don’t have past experience of Michelin tyres, so they don’t need to change their mind set.”
